Description

'Samples' is our last exhibition of 2023, curated by Plinth and taking place at Cromwell Place from Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 of December, 11am to 7pm Wednesday to Saturday, 11 to 4pm on Sunday. The Private View will take place on Tuesday 5 December at Cromwell Place from 6 to 8pm and RSVP is essential via this link.

‘Samples’ features editions of work by members of the Society and all available to purchase during the exhibition as well as online via plinth.uk.com – just in time for Christmas.

'You find samples everywhere from hip hop to test tubes. On the end of cocktail sticks. From surveys to swatches. Spritzed on fragrance strips. Insofar as sampling means trying things out or moving one object from one context to another, you find it in artists’ studios too. Samples sees members of the Royal Society of Sculptors sampling everything from the globe itself to a heartbeat.'

Plinth is a contemporary art platform that unites established and emerging artists on one pedestal. Whether celebrated on a local or a global stage, their mission is to bring the work of outstanding artists to wider audiences through stories, exhibitions and beautiful objects.

Plinth's magazine captures the energy and depth of London’s cultural scene, while their projects shape it – all in the firm belief that contemporary art should be accessible for curious minds the world-over, and an integral part of everyday life.
