About the prize
Royal Over-Seas League has invited international members of the Royal Society of Sculptors to participate in Spaceshifting, a group exhibition of artworks to be displayed at Over-Seas House, London from 10th July - 14th September 2025.
The theme of Spaceshifting asks applicants to think about how works can move and metamorphose through space, across borders.
Playing with dimensions, space, and material, the proposal seeks to challenge how an artwork can shift through space and time, physically changing from its inception to its display.
We encourage applicants to think outside the box about how their work can simultaneously fit within postage packaging yet also claim space in our large building.
This can range from assemblages and ‘flatpack’ sculpture to video work, 3D printing and far beyond.
Be as experimental or ambitious as you wish!
The theme is left to be conceptually open to interpretation, touching on elements of metamorphosis, migration, speculative futures and infrapolitics.
