Biography

Emma Louise studied her BA at LSAD, Ireland and MA, Fine Art at Central Saint Martins.

She is currently showing as part of the 11th edition of Sculpture in the City, London.

A finalist in the National Sculpture Prize, Broomhill Sculpture Park.

Shows included The Tate Modern -Tate Exchange, NEXT, Christies Auction House and a performance as part of Nocturnal Creatures, Whitechapel Gallery.

Solo shows include  Harlem, New York, Kilkenny, Ireland and Melbourne.

One of two artists on the Monash Children’s Hospital, Bronze Commission, Melbourne.

She works in performance art and sculpture. Her work is a form of phenomenon facilitation, catching the ephemerality of nature and questioning humanities ecological literacy. Testing our

ability to understand and place emphasis on the basic principles of a connected

nature and how to live within it. Her work attempts to reach a point of knowledge and

intrinsically awareness attained by our ancestor’s.

She works mainly in marble, carving it and creating an elaboration of its original natural qualities.
