Poojan Gupta MRSS
Poojan Gupta is an artist and a practice-based researcher based between London and Jaipur. She responds to the global anxieties generated by pharmaceutical empty blister packs. Having collected a reserve of over 2,000,000 discarded blister packs (since 2019), her artistic experiments use sculptural and installation techniques developing the striking simplicity of 1960s minimalist art to draw out the aesthetic qualities of the blister packs that exceed their quotidian status. Her aim is to remove boundaries that might separate art, ritualistic practices, environmental concerns from those special feelings we have about the everyday objects we use, but then throw away.
