Dora House is one of the most historic buildings in the area and arguably one of the most distinctive due to its unique Dutch-style architecture and character features. It has always been a magnet for the creative and over its lifetime it has been a home - and studio space -for sculptors, architects, photographers, painters and designers.
Elegant & Versatile Spaces
For your event at Dora House we can offer the spacious ground floor rooms: the Lobby, Salon and Studio, or the new basement Workshop with its own private entrance and facilities to provide refreshments in the room.
Capacity ranges from a champagne reception or conference event for up to 60 attendees to a board meeting for 12.
We have hosted a wide range of events, including fashion & film shoots, drinks receptions, book/product launches, small conferences, creative workshops plus corporate meetings and training sessions.
Our clients include Walker Books, Elysian Residencies, The Society of Authors, Archives for London, Touring Exhibitions Group and Crafts on Peel (Hong Kong).
Hire fees start at £75, and the fees directly support our work as a registered charity. Discounted rates are offered to members of Royal Society of Sculptors.

Planning your event with us
You have the choice of 2 spaces when requesting to book:
SPACE 1 | STUDIO, SALON and/or LOBBY
All on the ground floor, these rooms are connected and can be used individually or together. The spaces are light-filled and retain their original features from tall leaded windows to fireplaces.

SPACE 2 | THE WORKSHOP
Newly refurbished in 2026, this is a private and comfortable space for smaller events.
Accessed via steps and with it's own front door, this space is ideal for workshops, conferences and meetings. Additionally it has facilities to provide refreshments in the room and a WC on the same floor that is for use by the occupants of this space only.
Booking a space at Dora House
When requesting to book, choose the space option that would best suit your event on the calendar below, this will then show available dates.
Once you have chosen a date, choose the start time and then complete the form and your booking request will be sent to our team.
Please note that a booking is not yet confirmed until our team have emailed you with an event cost quote and the deposit to secure the booking has been paid.
If a date that you are looking for is not showing as available this may be due to an exhibition taking place in the Galleries. If you think your event would still be possible with art in the rooms, contact the team on the email below and we will see if we can make it happen.
