Visit Us

We are located in London's South Kensington, a few minutes' walk from its great museums. Since 1976 the Society's home has been Dora House, a beautiful listed building generously bequeathed to us by sculptor Cecil Thomas OBE FRBS. In 2022, Dora House was restored to its original glory through the 'Save Dora House' campaign.

Temporary closure

Please note that Dora House is currently closed due to building works to deliver 'A Home for Sculptors', an initiative that will re-imagine our basement into a welcoming flat for visiting artists with flexible studio space and a home for the Royal Society of Sculptors’ archive.

We expect to re-open in late spring 2026.

During this period the sculpture terrace at 108 Old Brompton Road will continue to showcase contemporary sculpture, currently presenting Waiting Room by Darcey Fleming.

We will also continue to programme a series of online artists in conversation events and for the next one Darcey will be in conversation with independent curator and writer Isabel de Vasconcellos on Thursday 20 November at 6.30pm (UK time) via Zoom and you can register here to attend.

Once we re-open in 2026, everyone will be warmly welcomed to join the conversation about sculpture by coming to our exhibitions, artists' talks and creative workshops.
