Description
Hands-on food play workshop to translate ideas, memories, and feelings into an edible artefact using flour.
Everything is edible, but also possible. Through this perspective, we'll explore how flour can become a material to build, think, and express ideas.
To begin, Ananya and Giuseppe will introduce themselves and give a brief overview of the activity, drawing connections between bread-making, community building, and creative expression.
Participants will be invited to browse a selection of inspiration cards and develop a few initial ideas, supported by a series of creative prompts.
We'll then move on to the making process. After a short demonstration, everyone will create their own dough sculpture by hand and with optional accessories, experimenting with a variety of flours, flavours, and additional ingredients.
Once the sculptures are complete, we'll bake them with our hands-on assistance. We'll end the workshop by sharing a light community meal and reflecting together on what we created and how the process made us feel. If you'd prefer to take your artwork home instead, you're very welcome to do so.
The workshop is suitable for all ages, provided that minors are accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Due to the nature of the activity, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur. If you have any allergies or dietary concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch before the workshop.
All materials and tools will be available on site.
