Description
The galleries at Dora House are currently closed for building works to deliver our project, Creating a Home for Sculptors but during this period, the sculpture terrace continues to feature contemporary sculpture and we are pleased to have Stack 5 by Alastair and Fleur Mackie on view now until March 2026.
As part of our Sculpture Terrace programme, Alastair and Fleur will be in conversation on Wednesday 1 April 2026 with Isabel de Vasconcellos independent curator and writer and the presenter of our ongoing series Behind the Studio Doors.
Alastair and Fleur Mackie are a British French-Cameroonian artist duo based in Cornwall. Working collaboratively, they create sculptural and photographic works rooted in the conditions of place and time. Their practice explores material histories and the interplay between ecology and human culture. They have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, including at the Busan Museum of Modern Art and the Reykjavik Art Museum, and their work is held in public collections such as the Wellcome Collection, London, and The Eres Foundation, Munich.
Isabel de Vasconcellos is an independent curator and cultural producer, with extensive experience collaborating with artists and visual arts organisations to realise world-class public commissions and exhibitions. She writes on contemporary art, photography and design, and is the author of Fourth Plinth: How London Created the Smallest Sculpture Park in the World.
