Embodied: studies of the body in sculpture and drawing

Caroline Ingham, who was elected as a member earlier this year, presents a solo exhibition of new and recent work at the Old Shop, an intimate new gallery in the village of Hingham, Norfolk.

Caroline Ingham makes non-figurative, three-dimensional forms that explore the body in states of vulnerability and uncertainty. Working across painting and sculpture, her practice is rooted in speculative making and sustained material experimentation.

The exhibition brings together twelve works and offers a rare opportunity to see her anatomy and life drawings alongside her sculptures, revealing the relationship between observation, the body and her abstract sculptural forms.

On Saturday 10 October at 11.00am, Caroline Ingham will give an Artist Insight Talk, offering an opportunity to hear directly about her practice, materials and the ideas behind the work. Places are limited and tickets can be booked here:
