Amanda Chambers at EARTH USA 2026 Conference

Amanda Chambers has been invited to attend Earth USA 2026 where her paper: ' "For What We Are About To" - Earth as a conceptual art medium: A sculptor's journey', will be published.

A poster exhibition will accompany the conference where she will be in attendance.

The conference represents a biennial forum for architects, construction companies, academics and creatives to meet for podium presentations, academic paper publishing and industry related exchange.

Amanda's paper cites her journey from New Mexico in 2023 and back again in 2026 with significant field trips and research projects in The Netherlands, Estonia and Japan in between.

It highlights the impact of an increasingly nomadic practice and the influences on her practice, leading to increased 'circular' production methods and more intentional use of earth and unfired clay as an ephemeral, conceptual medium.

This conference will be followed by a series of her installations in the countries in question during 2027 / 28.
