Description
Behind the Studio Doors is a new programme of talks with international members of the Royal Society of Sculptors, chaired by curator and writer Isabel de Vasconcellos. Whilst the doors at Dora House are closed, glimpse behind the scenes at 8 of our members' studios around the world, from Ecuador and the USA to Ukraine and Italy.

For our second event on Wednesday 26 January at 6.30pm, Isabel will be talking with sculptors Boris Krylov MRSS and Oles Sydoruk MRSS.
Boris Krylov and Oles Sydoruk are Ukrainian sculptors who have been working in collaboration since 1999. Boris graduated from the Ukrainian National Academy of Arts and Architecture and has dedicated his career to creating monumental sculptures. These include commemorative historical figures, park sculptures, plaques, sculptures to decorate the interiors of public buildings. Oles graduated from the National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture in Kiev and works from sketches and original clay and plaster forms to realise monumental sculptures in stone or bronze. His work decorates many areas in Kiev and other cities in Ukraine.
Both artists are active members of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Isabel de Vasconcellos is an independent curator and cultural producer, with extensive experience collaborating with artists and visual arts organisations to realise world-class public commissions and exhibitions. She writes on contemporary art, photography and design, and is the author of Fourth Plinth: How London Created the Smallest Sculpture Park in the World.
