Description

As part of Art for your World Stephen will share his experience of 2012-21 with the ‘lean and green’ Exbury Egg and his life as its eggman.

Treading lightly on the land in an increasingly urban unsustainable 21st century, Stephen will explore our troubled relationship with the natural world and as amanuensis to the tides, terns and turnstones seeks to give mute nature a voice.

In 2019 he launched his new international project ‘Natura Prima?’ with a major solo exhibition at Fondazione Bevilacqua la Massa for three months during the 58th la Biennale di Venezia.

Escaping with Magwitch, a voyage into last wilderness in south east England along the Medway Estuary, was commissioned for the Estuary Festival in May 2021.
