Biography

As an artist, my work is centred on the idea that our actions in the present can be compensation for the past and shape the future. My art-making process is focused on creating encounters between different realms that have the potential to change our understanding of what is yet to come. I see art as a future enterprise, one that has the power to transform our fears into visual forms that can change the original narrative into a more open and inclusive mode of connection.

I am deeply invested in exploring the complexities of contemporary life and my work is an attempt to mediate this experience through visual form. By touching upon contemporary life, I hope to encourage viewers to engage and reflect on the world around them in new and meaningful ways.

My practice is multifaceted, working primarily with sculpture and painting as a foundation for experimentation with different mediums and techniques. My formal education in fine art photography, metalwork and sculpture provided me with a strong foundation of technical skill and theoretical knowledge that I continue to develop in my practice.

I believe that art has the power to inspire, provoke and make a change in our society and I hope that my work can make a small difference.
