Fragments of a Landscape, Eleni Maragaki

This exhibition explores the relationship between urban construction and the natural environment. Through a mix of printmaking, sculpture, interactive work and work in progress, the exhibition examines the deconstruction of the landscape using abstract geometric forms, illustrating the conflicts that arise where the city intersects with nature. The strict, artificial shapes representing the urban landscape symbolically alter and deform the natural, in similar way as cities interrupt the notion of the unlimited extension of the landscape towards all directions.
