Veda Hallowes MRSS

An established London-based sculptor now working almost exclusively in bronze, Veda uses fruits as a metaphor for the female torso with rich and unusual patinas.

She was born and brought up in South Africa and has subsequently lived mainly in London. However, over the years her work has been enriched by the experience of living and working in South Africa, Peru, Hong Kong and Pakistan. Veda’s present creative focus is on reactions to COVID -19, thinking about seeds of change. Whether it be our change in circumstance with shielding and lockdown, Climate Change or Black Lives Matter, our world will never be the same again.
