Biography
My practice explores the cycles of genesis growth and decay in both the natural world and human existence. Currently I am transforming everyday interior materials such as carpet, cable or wallpaper to create works that shift between the familiar and unfamiliar often carrying a surprise or dark humour. Humour and the use of familiar materials may invite a sense of ease before revealing a darker reality. By shifting the rhythm of recognition, I try to engage viewers in an active process of discovery, where meaning is not just given but revealed over time.
