Rona Smith MRSS

Rona’s work engages with the idea of boundaries, not only as physical limitations, but as emotional, historical or social thresholds. Her sculptures often lean or peel away from their foundations, as if caught mid-movement. As the work exceeds its expected framework, viewers are prompted to consider acts of crossing and intrusion, as well as unravelling and undoing.

Rona has completed several permanent commissions across London and the UK including An Age, An Instant for The Crown Estate in Regent Street, Abeona at JCDecaux’s HQ in Paddington, North Elevation for the Lumen Centre in Bloomsbury and Scroll Bench for St John’s College, Cambridge University.
