Biography

Lucy Teasdale (b.1984 Birmingham, UK) is a British-German sculptor based in Berlin. She studied sculpture first at Chelsea College of Art & Design. Then an Erasmus grant brought her in 2006 to the Universität der Künste, Berlin. Following this she completed her studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where she graduated in 2010 and was awarded the status of “Meisterschülerin” by Tony Cragg. 

Recent shows include “Kein Stand noch Still” at the Frauenmuseum/Kommunale Galerie Berlin and "Tales of Romance and Heroism observed by a Stuffed Bird” at Galerie Born Berlin. Other notable shows have been at Kunstverein Schwäbisch Hall, Käthe-Köllwitz-Museum Berlin, and Galerie Mikael Andersen, Copenhagen. Her work has been shortlisted in several art in public spaces competitions and she has received grants such as “Framed Project Stipendium” and “Goldrausch Kunstlerinnenproject Art IT”.
