Biography
BA (hons) in ceramics and 3D design, MA in Industrial ceramics and Management. Awarded the RBS silver Medal for work of outstanding merit in London for the twice life size equine Sculpture Rebellion, commissioned by Standard Life, sited above Middlesex Street, London. First exhibited in on the terrace in Trafalgar Square. Sculpture is the challenge that keeps my mind working. My main aim is creating the living essence and energy of my subjects into my sculpture - where less is more but still retain a recognisable form or likeness in part. I want them to ‘breathe and connect’ . The forms have an organic feel, growing, developing and transforming from the realistic into the abstract. I am reappraising the combination of 2D and 3D relief and high relief sculptured surfaces to create a dynamic and intriguing form. Colour is beginning to creep in to the work.
