Biography

My approach to my work could be described as ‘automatic’. I have a rough idea for a stone and then let it happen.

I push the stone and it pushes me. Its a relationship, its not romantic its hard, cold, dusty work that has infected me but I enjoy this?

Inspiration comes from the material itself, subconscious memories of things, the lost and found.

I love discovering and sourcing my material and it has taken me to people and places I would not otherwise have found or thought of visiting.

I hope to give the viewer or discoverer of my work the same sense of voyage, process and emotion I experienced in its creation.

I want to make, what I do not know, cannot see and selfishly want to enjoy myself in this action.
