Biography
Guy Mayman studied Sculpture at Central Saint Martins, was a participant at De Ateliers Artist Institute in Amsterdam and a Daiwa Scholar in Tokyo.
He works with sculpture as a metabolic process, where material gleaned from his immediate surroundings and experience are digested and reconfigured. Drawing and digital scanning are integral; encouraging new forms to coalesce while retaining the possibility of further hybridisation.
He produces a zine: Pataville which uses collage to explore memory and architecture within a fictional realm described as suburban psychedelia. He collaborates with Paul R Jones on the Datamosh project, where archival material is re-contextualised in film, sound, sculpture and performance.
