Transience, impermanence, and fragmentation are qualities implicit in the work of Colin Booth. Found objects and texts become playful elements of a personal narrative that channels his interest in early Modernism, the synergy between the historic and the new and the transformative potential of everyday objects.

We each tread a precarious path as we accumulate objects and experiences. Chance and serendipity play their part in shaping our lives and these incidental elements have their equivalence in the fragments of text and assorted, sundry objects which have determined Colin Booth's practice. Not so much the art of the everyday, but the art of the incidental.
