Biography
Carole Andrews constructs sculptures by taking pliable 2-D materials and manipulating them into 3-D forms by employing origami folding and embroidery techniques. Materials such as aluminum mesh and roofing felt are then coated with resin to render the forms permanent. Andrews’ work is heavily influenced by her interest in coral reefs and microscopic sea life. Andrews has a Fine Arts degree from Kent University and has exhibited widely throughout the U.K. and the U.S.
