Description
Koi fish are a popular motif in Chinese art and culture and are a symbol of good fortune, wealth, and prosperity, making them an important part of Chinese New Year. The word for fish and abundance are pronounced the same. In Chinese, the word for ‘fish’ is ‘yu’ which is also a homophone for ‘abundance’, ‘plenty’ and ‘affluence’.
Red Koi represents strength, Black Koi represent luck and Gold Koi symbolizes personal riches. Silver Koi leans towards business success.
