About the artist
Raga studied art in Spain, Italy and Greece, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and a scholarship to study marble sculpture in Carrara in 2001. He spent over a decade developing his stone-carving practice and working in heritage restoration across Europe before settling in Oxford, UK. His engagement with historical architecture expanded an initially organic approach towards more constructive and geometric explorations of stone. His work reflects years of movement between cultures and geographies. He is currently developing more sustainable approaches to sculpture while addressing social, political and environmental concerns through the juxtaposition of materials, forms and ideas.
