Stations 3 / Topography

Stations 3 is a sculptural installation, consisting of seven modified oil barrels, painted in six different shades of red and one large x-shaped, asymmetric cross, made of recycled motorway crash barriers. Shortlisted for Liverpool Sculpture Prize 2024, the work combines a reinterpretation of the Stations of the Cross with an enquiry into blood spilt in the pursuit of fossil fuels.

The work is part of an annual series of exhibitions under the theme of Topography, shown across the campus. Stations 3 is now on show on Pathfoot Hill, Stirling University, Stirling until late spring 2027.
