Our Sculptors Exhibitions
THE DnA FACTORY MRSS are pleased to be exhibiting in the Fourth Annual Sculpture Trail held in the beautiful historic grounds of Bayfield Hall overlooking the River Glaven in Norfolk. Curated by Sarah Cannell [Raveningham Sculpture Trail]with kind permission from Caroline and Roger Combe [Bayfield Hall], the project is realised by Creative Odyssey CIC – arts projects in nature to inspire and soothe the soul.
DnA are showcasing a new site specific installation: FIELD OF IDEAS//GHOSTLIGHT. A series of 60 solid cast plaster light bulbs plus holder perched atop thin pre-weathered steel rods to create, en masse, a field of ideas. Some elements of which are impregnated with wildflower seeds, designed to slowly release as natural elemental decay progresses - flower bombs in effect. All material elements are non-toxic and environmentally considered.
The lightbulb as a motif reflects the concept of ideas, a eureka moment, ‘by jove he’s got it!’ etc but also talks of the idea of power, of natural power and the man-made within nature. Opening up a discussion about the use of resources at the cost of those resources, to the cost of the planet and to our loss, as beings dwelling within and sharing this garden that is Earth.
Also, of course, a play on the word ‘bulb’, either a bulb with the capacity for creating light or a bulb [plant] with the capacity for creating life.
The trail opens to the public on September 18th 2025 and showcases the amazing work of 43 artists responding directly to the landscape and environment.
