Temptation
Jane Morgan is a British artist. She studied under The Sir John Cass School of Art, at London Metropolitan University, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree, before achieving an MA (Masters) in Fine Art.
As a conceptual artist, Jane is recognised for her large-scale narrative photographic interpretations. She has also developed her practice exploring sculptural installation. Jane’s methodology is consistent and distinctly expressive, her technique is one of editorial immediacy, providing the viewer with a thematic for discussion and elucidation.
Jane’s work has been recognised with a number of prestigious awards and nominations for principal contemporary art prizes. Her work is held under private commission and on public displays in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Jane says:
"This work formed part of a collective challenge set by Alex Davies at Milwyn Casting to create an original work from 10g of wax. Alex heroically spent the summer months casting all the submissions from Society members in bronze. The final pieces were exhibited at Dora House during September 2021.
Temptation playfully visits the visual metaphor, utilising a square of chocolate as the symbol of desire."
