Description

Join our President Laura Ford PRSS, Isabel de Vasconcellos, curator and author of the Fourth Plinth, and Sarah Carrington, director of The Line for a lively discussion about sculpture in the public realm to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Line and publication of The Line: Public Art in East London.

Since its founding in 2015, The Line has redefined how contemporary art interacts with the city. Spanning nearly 8 kilometres from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to The O2—this dynamic trail presents an extraordinary collection of contemporary sculpture and installations,  set along the waterways and the post-industrial landscape of east London.

Laura Ford’s work, Bird Boy (without a tail), 2011 was installed on The Line at the Royal Docks in 2020 and joins works by 24 artists on The Line, including Antony Gormley, Rasheed Araeen and Zineb Sedira.

Ticket price includes a welcome drink and a mince pie. Please make sure to book your place in advance as space is strictly limited.

One ticket holder will win a complimentary copy of The Line: Public Art in East London

Signed copies of The Line, Public Art in East London will be available to purchase at the event with 100% of the cover price going directly to support the ongoing work of The Line.
