Biography

Naiya Hohlidaki is a Greek-British multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, photography, video, and installation. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and an MA in Contemporary Art Practice from the Royal College of Art.

Her practice explores the relationship between the body and the built environment, examining how architecture, infrastructure, and landscapes shape perception, memory, and movement. Drawing from experiences navigating environments between Greece and the United Kingdom, Hohlidaki investigates how spaces are constructed, controlled, and experienced on both personal and collective levels. Her work has been exhibited and screened internationally, including Tate Late at Tate Britain, London, the Public Shorts Festival in Berlin, the AfterSense Publication launch at Cubitt Gallery, London, and the group exhibition IN-BETWEEN at Bunny Contemporary, London.

Diverted Landscapes is a video essay exploring the surreal, poetic, and often overlooked details of the urban environment. Filmed through a wandering, observant lens, it reflects on gentrification, memory, erasure, and the peculiar aesthetics of everyday city life. With a fragmented voiceover, it invites viewers to look closer, question the logic of development, and reimagine how we move through constructed space.
