Weisses Gold

At the centre of this solo exhibition is a new site-specific installation, Rheingold, exploring the relationship between human greed, plastic and the environment. Two screen prints, printed on large, silvery tinplate panels show a plastic bag floating in used engine oil. The installation itself consists of plastic bottles and containers, bin liners, refuse bags, oil barrels and tyres, all sourced from the region. Together, these elements reflect the growing tide of waste affecting the Maine coastline and the ecosystems of the oceans.
