Royal Society of Sculptors, Dora House, 108 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London SW7 3RA

Michael Joo’s bubblegum pink zebra is based on the mould of an earlier sculpture of a zebra. Joo was inspired by the artist George Stubbs’s painting of a zebra in the incongruous setting of the English countryside.

The title is a reference to Don Quixote’s horse, Rocinante. In Cervantes’s novel, the ‘decrepit old nag' is transformed into a knight’s steed in his master’s imagination.
