Our Sculptors Exhibitions
Pink Noise is a concept that began in the summer of 2025. The idea was simple, to create a platform that showcased female voice, through art exhibition, talks, workshops and performance.
The first event is an exhibition of eight artists, all with a unique voice and creative methodology.
Each artist is at varying stages of their careers and what unites them is their unwavering commitment to their practice, creating work that is driven by personal experience, emotion, insight and intelligence. What I particularly admire with these artists is their phenomenological approach that underpins their research. From an understanding of feminist history, myth and folklore, to the sociopolitical zeitgeist. From observations of the natural world to internal family structures, to documenting how memory is formed and held within contemporary culture.
The works in the show are displayed across three areas. The stable gallery, the studio gallery and the studio. Notions of the interior is a reoccurring theme that runs throughout the work, from bodily carapaces, to psychological landscapes of unrest. There are innards of everyday commodities, re-worked and re-remebered with visceral associations. Materials are used that both disorient and disgust, challenging concepts of both women’s labour and cleanliness. Emotion exudes from the works in an unapologetic, edacious kind of way.
