Wendy Mayer MRSS

My sculptures reflect my interest in dolls and toys, the past and the present, the surreal and the uncanny. I work mainly with wax, papier mache and textiles to create wax portraits housed in unexpected carcasses.  My work is accessible whilst maintaining integrity; it can be experienced without exacting an interpretation but can hold the viewer’s interest for long enough to reveal deeper meaning.
