Tamsie Ringler MRSS
Tamsie Ringler is an American artist whose practice focuses on landscape-based sculptural installations and public works engaging environmental awareness.
Tamsie Ringler studied Art at the University of Wisconsin and received her MFA in Sculpture from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches sculpture and foundry at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and serves on the Board of Directors of Franconia Sculpture Park where she leads the annual Community + Collaboration Hot Metal Pour. In 2014 she co-directed the 7th International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art at the Pedvale Open-Air Art Museum in Latvia. Recent public works include 'Ainavas Galds' at the Pedvale Open-Air Art Museum in Latvia and 'River of Iron: Pouring the Mississippi', an overnight iron pour performance at the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis. She has received numerous awards and has exhibited extensively. She currently lives and works in St. Paul, Minnesota.
