Biography

Rosamund is a figurative sculptor who works internationally on commissions and has portrait sculptures listed in The National Portrait Gallery, London. In the late 1980s she worked in the USA as an assistant to the late Felix de Weldon, famed for his creation of the enormous Iwo Jimo Monument in Arlington Cemetery, Washington DC.

At her studio in Oxfordshire she has an impressive display of portrait sculptures of the good, the great and the late including a commission for a 50th Anniversary Portrait of HRH The Duke of Endinburgh, and Sir Thomas More (after Holbein). She is also a successful sculptor of animals.

She combines a demanding schedule as a professional sculptor with that of mentor to groups of students who attend her studio weekly. Her rigorous attention to fine detail ensures that, under her guidance, her students attain standards that enable them both to exhibit and sell their own sculptures.
