Biography

"Janis Ridleys' bronze sculptures breathe with the life of the material in which they are made. They hold their own in a very natural and earthy way and yet contain metaphorical significance, a sense of being human and of bringing to the temporal world a contemplative quality of timelessness". - Peter Davies

Her commissions can be seen in Exeter Cathedral (Unfolding Love 2006), University of Exeter (Stargazer 2001), Topsham Millennium Sculpture (Spirit of Youth) , Matara Kingscote Park Gloucestershire (Isness 2004), Stratford upon Avon Croft School (Messenger with Bird 2005), and the South Korea Bundang Memorial Park (Rugged Angel 2017).
