Biography

Wright is known for her multi-narrative sculptural works using a variety of techniques and media, including tinfoil, plaster, unfired clay, sound and video. She is interested in how a range of languages and materials can probe often unspoken human preoccupations. Concerned with boundaries and the transitory areas of life, she explores childhood and adulthood, as well as the spaces and borderlines between life and death.

Wright has exhibited internationally including the Tate Liverpool, Gerhard-Marcks-Haus and the Ashmolean Museum,  Oxford. Her work is held in significant public collections including the National Gallery of Ireland, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Hamburger Kunsthalle and the RISD Museum. She is represented by Frith Street Gallery, London.
