About Rosalie Wammes

Rosalie Wammes is a Dutch artist based in Rotterdam and London. She studied MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts.

With a background in performance (Toneelacademie Maastricht) and scenography, Rosalie’s work has shifted to installation and sculpture wherein the viewer becomes the performer as they experience the work in the space. Using materials like ceramics, metal, wax, sound and pigments she creates an integral system of closely interconnected set pieces wherein she approaches the cultural space as a sanctuary, where everyone and everything, organic or artificial, living or dead is honoured equally.

Rosalie has exhibited internationally including Saatchi and Het HEM and received a grant from Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Hendrik Müllerfonds and CBK Rotterdam.
