Our Sculptors Exhibitions
The exhibition L'art Contact: French and Serbian sculpture from the Terra collection presents terracotta sculptures created during the four decades of the Terra International Symposium in Kikinda.
With a special emphasis on the dialogue between the French and Serbian art scene, the exhibition illuminates the importance of cultural exchange and the preservation of artistic creativity in clay, emphasizing the role of the Terra Symposium as a meeting place for artists of different generations, backgrounds, and experiences.
Within the exhibition, fifteen artists are presented: Anne Rochette, Mrđan Bajić, Josette Barbier, Alain le Bourgocq, Čedomir Vasić, Igor Antić, Olga Jančić, Florence Tors, Bernhard Rüdiger, Tanja Ostojić, Anne Mercedes, Zlatko Glamočak, Tatjana Stolpović, Mirjana Blagojev, Slobodan K. Bijeljac. Their works reflect the continuous cooperation of the two scenes, the diversity in approaches and ideas, and the uniqueness concerning the value of clay as a natural (primitive) material. In this way, the audience has the opportunity to get acquainted with works of exceptional artistic value that embody the synthesis of traditional and contemporary while at the same time pointing out the importance of a unique space that nurtures freedom as one of its fundamental values. Also, the exhibition of works that are today part of the most significant contemporary collection of large-format sculptures in baked clay highlights the potential of contemporary artistic creativity as a powerful tool for promoting networking and intercultural dialogue.
