Description

Join us for an evening of Sugar Skull creations delving into this element of the ‘Day of the Dead’ tradition with sugar artist Sophie Lloyd

Please feel free to bring your own decorative flourishes from sequins, glitters, feathers and flowers. The Sugar Skull tradition reflects on the dead through celebration and humour. I welcome those who feel comfortable to dedicate a Sugar Skull to a loved one and/or to gain the techniques needed to engage with the making of Sugar Skulls.

Upon entry you can enjoy a complimentary shot of Tequila!

In this class I will take you through the process of sugar paste modelling, piping techniques and decorative embellishment. Please be aware that recipes we use contain egg whites. We will bring our dazzling skulls together resulting in a colourful display of our creations!

You do not need any sculpting or culinary skills prior. All materials, tools and decorations will be provided for but should you wish to bring any extra decoration/ sketchbooks/ pens/ pencils please feel welcome to bring these too.
