Description

Join Caroline Worthington, Director, Royal Society of Sculptors and Jo Baring, Director/Curator of The Ingram Collection for an informative discussion exploring the relationship between the separate yet connected mediums of sculpture and drawing.

Through an exploration of key sculptural figures from the twentieth century such as Barbara Hepworth, Reg Butler and Antony Caro, Caroline and Jo will examine how sculptors use drawing as part of a preparatory process. Parallels will be drawn between the transformative aspects of both media and the practical and intellectual connections that continue to bring drawing and sculpture together in the twenty-first century.
