Description

Join us on Saturday 21 September and have the opportunity to meet with sculptor, WW1 soldier and past-owner of Dora House, Cecil Thomas himself! In this immersive performance you will get the chance to hear from Cecil about his WW1 experiences making sculptured maps in the trenches, his reflections on returning to the places where he served and how he found our beautiful building Dora House. You'll also hear his story of how, being so smitten with the building, he broke into Dora House through the back door with a pen knife to sneak a look inside!

Played by film and stage actor Ian Houghton, the history of Cecil Thomas will be brought to life.

All ages welcome.

This event coincides with Heritage Open days, 18 - 21 September
