Our Sculptors Exhibitions
Amanda Chambers created a series of five ceramic works inspired by the 20th century writers Sylvia Townsend Warner and Valentine Ackland.
The selection of hand thrown and printed ceramic works were created in 2014 and were informed largely by the archive of the two writers that was held at the museum at that time.
Due to a major museum redevelopment it has not been possible to showcase these works until now.
The pieces will be exhibited in the Artists’ Dorset Gallery and form an ‘intervention’ within the space.
An online Artist Talk will take place on the 12th February 2022 with both Amanda and writer Frances Bingham as part of LGBT Month. Please contact the museum to book a place.
