A Different LENS

A Different LENS uses locative media mapping by CGeomap.eu.

The Cgeomap.eu is innovative in its design. It can be operated on a mobile phone to follow a curated guided walk or uploaded and explored on a laptop at home. The interactive features of the map include secret and hidden entries. It connects to community and place with the opportunity for gamification with the use of sound, text and video. Nine artists have designed and created entries for the map.

The map has received funding support from Arts Council England this has enabled us to work on entries with community members from East Kent Mencap. The entries for the map have been produced through storytelling workshops delivered by artists and authors on zoom. They are then supported with high-quality technical support for sound recordings.
