This group exhibition at Make_Hauser & Wirth Gallery, High Street, Bruton, Somerset, U.K., brings together six unique makers from across the British Isles and Ireland. Each artist demonstrates a rigorous Interrogation of material properties with a focus on clay, iron, jesmonite, concrete and glass. The works demonstrate an expressive response to landscape and nature, architecture and the impact of human experience through a thoughtful and deep rooted understanding of their chosen materials. The pieces exhibited attest to a highly personal approach, from the everyday domestic and sculptural influences in the works of Malgorzata Bany, the fractal geometry found in nature explored by ceramicist Nuala O'Donovan and the material tension in the concrete and glass works of Harry Morgan.

Featured makers: Malgorzata Bany, Daniel Freyne, Harry Morgan,Sue Paraskeva, Patricia Shone, Nuala O'Donovan.

Open from July 1st to August 29th 2020. Please contact the Gallery directly for current opening times.
