Our Sculptors Exhibitions
To mark the bicentenary of Queen Victoria’s birth, join us to trace the history of Birmingham’s bronze statue, originally commissioned by Henry Barber and sculpted in marble by Sir Thomas Brock (founder president of RSS). We return to Ikon for a tour of solo exhibition "Here’s the Thing" with artist Hew Locke FRSS and a screening of Mitchell and Kenyon’s film Return of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment (1901), featuring the marble original. Locke will also be discussing his proposal for 'dressing' the statue, to co-incide with the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.
Booking essential. Please book online or call Ikon Shop on 0121 248 0711. Online booking closes at 5pm on Thursday 23 May.
