Our Sculptors Exhibitions
I am delighted to be taking part in Contemporary Art and Ritual , at the Crypt Gallery St Pancras with some fab artists. The exhibition opens this week .
I will be showing 15 Varas ( poles) decorated with symbolic hand made inkle weaving responding to place. The Varas hold the ropes knotted by participants in each of 15 walks over the last four years.
These walks are organised through Thread and Word, a collaborative arts group run by myself through which I invite artists, academics and friends to walk with me and participate through poetry readings and participative interventions in response to a suggested brief for the walk.
I will be showing my work along with some fantastic and diverse work by 11 other contemporary artists at the Contemporary Art + Ritual show. Encompassing sound, light, paint, dust, wood, thread and more the show reveals ritual to be an expression of human life that is undergoing a process of constant reinvention. The Crypt’s atmospheric brick vaulted passageways add to the theme and will take you on a fascinating and unique artistic journey.
You are warmly invited to the private view on Thursday 16 May 6-9pm.
I hope you can make it but if you can't and would like to come another day, let me know and I can be sure to be there.
The show runs from 16 May to 21 May with a ‘Meet the Artists’ 3.30-5pm on Saturday 18 May.
The Crypt Gallery is at St Pancras Church, Euston Rd, London NW1 2BA. The gallery is open daily from 10am – 6pm.

Accessibility: Regrettably there is no wheelchair access to the Crypt Gallery. There are steep uneven steps with a handrail leading down to the gallery. The floor of the gallery is uneven stone.
I hope to see you there !
I am also organising a Wander through Contemporary Art and Ritual on May 18th, which might be of interest as it plays with how we visit gallery spaces and engage with the artwork. Details are on the website. The event is Free but ticketed as numbers will be limited
